A video by British vlogger Tony has recently gone viral on social media, drawing global attention to Zhaoqing, Guangdong. In the video, Tony conducts a "safety test" to provide a glimpse of life in China. Throughout his experience, he encountered no safety issues and was instead greeted with warmth and hospitality from the local residents.
"I created this video because I wanted the world to see what China is really like, because Western media do paint a bad picture to Western people throughout the world," Tony explained. He expressed being "over the moon" about the video's popularity, not only within China but also globally, as it allowed more people to discover Zhaoqing and experience the true safety and beauty of China.
