The China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE 2025) will take place from September 12 to 14 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Zone A) in Guangzhou. Since its debut in 2009, CITIE has grown into one of China's most influential tourism trade fairs, connecting the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area with the global tourism industry.

This year's expo spans 40,000 square meters, featuring four themed pavilions: the International Cultural Tourism Pavilion, the Culture & Tourism Integration Pavilion, the Tourism Consumption Experience Pavilion, and the Time-honored Brands Pavilion. Nearly 50 countries and regions, over 100 destinations, and 500 cultural and tourism enterprises will showcase their offerings, making CITIE 2025 a dynamic platform for international exchange and cooperation.
A global tourism "friend circle"
CITIE 2025 continues to expand its global reach, featuring participants from Asia, Europe, Oceania, the Americas, and Africa. Notably, Saudi Arabia will join for the first time as an official delegation, marking the 35th anniversary of China–Saudi Arabia diplomatic ties. More than 20 international airlines and cruise companies, along with 30 overseas inbound travel agencies, will also be present to strengthen cross-border tourism connectivity.

Spotlight on the Greater Bay Area
As the official "Destination Partner," the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin will unveil an immersive exhibition themed "One Trip, Multiple Stops: Travel in Macao and Hengqin." Guangdong's 21 cities, along with Hong Kong and Macao, will present a vibrant showcase of destinations, cultural heritage, and creative tourism experiences that reflect the dynamism of the Greater Bay Area.

Innovation meets tourism
For the first time, CITIE will launch the Smart Culture & Tourism Initiative, introducing a pavilion dedicated to digital technologies in tourism. Leading enterprises in telecommunications, mobility, and smart technology will demonstrate cutting-edge applications—from immersive digital exhibits to next-generation travel services. Industry leaders and experts will join the Digital Culture & Tourism Innovation Forum to share insights on how technology is reshaping the visitor experience.

Diverse experiences for all
From cultural performances and interactive heritage workshops to tourism promotions and product showcases, CITIE 2025 promises an engaging experience for both professionals and visitors. A special focus will also be placed on senior-friendly travel, family-oriented products, and youth-targeted creative experiences, ensuring the expo caters to travelers of all ages.
CITIE 2025 is not only a marketplace for tourism businesses but also a celebration of culture, innovation, and global connections. For overseas visitors, it offers a one-stop opportunity to discover China's diverse tourism resources and engage with the fast-growing Greater Bay Area market.
