On the morning of November 10, International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry visited Nansha Sports Center in Guangzhou and watched Wushu Taolu events at China's 15th National Games. Coventry highly praised the competition and athletes and expressed her anticipation for Wushu's debut as a sport at the Youth Olympic Games in 2026.

Coventry praised the opening ceremony of China's 15th National Games as an incredible blend of culture, technology, sport, and beauty, stating, "it just really framed everything that we've experienced so far here."

After watching the competition, Coventry received a city gift from Nansha, Guangzhou—a Xiangyunsha silk shawl. Coventry expressed her appreciation for this gift.
